As far as I am concerned folks, this 5/4 groove is a rythm Milestone. His solo in it is sooo unique, one of a kind, AWE-INSPIRING! Etc... [img]smile.gif[/img] [img]smile.gif[/img]

My eyes are still trying to adjust after reading ALL of these recommendations... whew... what a post this turned out to be.
I don't think I saw Steve Ferrone in there, but he deserves the "groove" recognition (remember Pick Up The Pieces by Average White Band), and he's been around for a while now, the most recent was with Tom Petty..... He's got a SOLID groove.

goodjob someone mentioned steve ferrone......he grooves his butt off....check out the modern drummer tape with him and a great guitarst jeff golub.....(steve is on all his newer albums)

David Robinson: "It's all I can do" and a lot more, I really like his inventiveness and taste, doesn't overplay but is creative.
The whole Zevon Excitable Boy album, man oh man there is some tasty shit there.
And Bob Welch's French Kiss, there is some sick stuff on that one too.

hey.. great site, I have been a "guest" for so long I thought I would make it official.
NumeroUno, and HOD seemed to not aknowledge Chris Whitten, who played on Eddie Brickell's first record "Shooting Rubber Bands At The Stars"
Great record and Chris played his tail off.
Pretty common mistake seeing that Matt C was in the video of "What I Am"...
Chris did a great job with Paul Mcartney as well..
